Our Heavy-Duty Moulded Top Larch Posts provide a sophisticated alternative to the diamond or candle top. These posts feature a “moulded” profile that adds an extra layer of craftsmanship to your property’s boundary or gate post.
Engineered for use as a gate post or mortised with heavy-duty 6×2″ rails in fencing, this system creates a robust, interlocking timber barrier that combines high-impact strength with an elegant, architectural finish.
Our heavy-duty posts are manufactured from high-quality larch timber, a naturally strong and durable wood ideal for outdoor use. Larch is known for its dense grain and natural resin content, giving it excellent resistance to moisture, rot, and weathering.
This makes it an ideal choice for supporting large or heavy structures, gates or rails. Over time, the timber develops a natural silver-grey finish while maintaining its structural integrity.
Our precision morticed design; Each post features precision-cut mortises tailored for 6×2″ (150mm x 50mm) eased edge rails. This join creates a seamless, flush finish where the rails sit securely inside the timber, eliminating the need for unsightly brackets or external fixings. This system creates a formidable, interlocking barrier that is built to last a generation. Possible as a 3 or 4 rail system.
The top of each post is machined into a decorative moulded profile. This unique shape provides the same water-shedding benefits as a weathered cap but with a more refined, upscale aesthetic.
Fully tanalised for maximum longevity. The treatment penetrates deep into the timber cells, providing a robust defense against ground-contact decay, fungal attack, and insects.
